Personal Info: I am very excited to be here at Lake Creek H.S. I am married to a wonderful lady, Jennifer Newton, who has taught in the district for the past 19 years. We have two kids, Nate who is 10 & Natalie who is 6 years of age. Nate will be entering 5th grade and Natalie will be in Kindergarten. I am also an assistant football coach and head track this year. I am looking forward to an exciting year and having your kids.

Unit 1 :The world in spatial terms: Places / Regions

This unit serves is a review of geographic tools such as maps, mental maps, & other data tools. It introduces students to the geographic standards related to the World in Spatial Terms & Places/Regions.

Unit 2: Physical Systems.

This unit explores the geographic elements of physical systems & addresses the processes that shape the earth's surface as well as significant landforms, ecosystems & other physical aspects of places.

Unit 3: Environment & Society

This unit examines how humans adapt to, depend on & often modify the  environment in which they settle. It also explores the impact that the physical environment has on the human systems within that space.

Unit 4: Population & Migration

This unit explores the settlement patterns, routes of migration & distribution & population patterns.

Unit 5: Social/Cultural, Defining Culture.

This unit attempts to answer the question: "what is Culture?" It also explores how cultural traits spread from place to place.

Unit 6: Reviewing Geographic Concepts.

This unit helps reinforce concepts learned in the first Semester. These concepts support learning as students move into second semester.
