Howdy! My name is Jennifer Hopper. This will be my first year in MISD, and I am super excited to be here at Lake Creek. I’ve lived in Montgomery for eleven years, but I grew up in Houston and attended Klein Forest High School. After graduation, I studied at Texas A&M University where I received a BA in English and minor in Horticulture.

Before I began my career as a teacher, I studied Spanish in Costa Rica for three months. When I returned to the States, I taught 5th graders for HISD at an outdoor education center, 3 year olds at the North Harris Child Development Lab School and Aldine ISD, and high schoolers at an alternative school. Then, eight years ago, I landed back at Klein Forest teaching Freshman English, until I moved to the Conroe 9th Grade Campus where I have been for the last four years.

I've been married to my husband, Chris, for nearly sixteen years now.  He is the golf course superintendent at Margaritaville. We have two children, Landen (13) who attends Oak Hills Jr. High and Layla (9) who attends Keenan Elementary.  We live only SIX MINUTES from Lake Creek on 30 acres we bought with my family.  When I'm not teaching, you can find me walking my two dogs, Aggie and Asher, down to the pond, reading, and let's be honest, with two kids at home, I'm cleaning... a lot.

Our first school year at Lake Creek will definitely be one to remember!  I look forward to "meeting" you all and working together to overcome any obstacles we will face.
