Mrs. Anderson

Welcome to the Madeley Ranch Library; where the MAGIC happens!

My name is Jordan Anderson, and I am the Librarian at MRE.  This is my first year at The Ranch and my 9th year in Montgomery ISD.  I consider myself beyond blessed to get to spend each day with children.  They make every moment so exciting!  I received my Bachelor's degree from Texas State University (eat em' up Cats!), and I later received my Master's degree in Educational Technology Leadership.  The library has always been such a magical place to me, and I am so excited to share my love of reading, passion of learning and thrills of technology with our Mustangs this year.  It is going to be absolutely PERFECT!

Twenty great new books are selected for the list every school year.
Texas students have been reading and voting on bluebonnet books since 1981!

Fall News

Our MRE library is rockin' and rollin' this fall!  Students have learned how to self-check in and out books.  They have also learned how to put a hold their favorites, renew, and even search for e-books on our online database!  It's amazing how quickly they pick up on all things technology! ;)

3rd-5th grade have begun working their way through our Texas Bluebonnet list.  They are asked to read 5 of these books if they want to participate in voting.  That will take place in January.  1st and 2nd grade are reading the Texas 2x2 list!  These are 20 picture books made just for them.  When they complete the list, they may come to the library for a prize!

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  Our Mustangs have learned all about these and the process of designing, creating and making.  We always try to tie in a STEM activity with a book we've read in the library.

Fall is awesome, y'all!
