Hello and Welcome!  I am so glad you popped by to say hi and to look around!  My name is Molly Attebery and I am lucky to teach multiple Business classes this year. I am so excited to be a part of the Lake Creek family and to engage in something I am truly passionate about!

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Marketing/Management degree and have worked in the field of Marketing for several years before I rooted myself in education. I have taught high school and elementary and have loved every age group. This will be my 18th year of teaching, however, getting " Back to Business" is what I am enthusiastic about.

When I am not talking about the Marketing Mix, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I have a daughter that is a freshman and son that is in 5th grade. I am proud to live in this great community of Montgomery and hope to continue to influence and nurture the minds of our future CEOs one Lion at a time!

Hello Everyone,
It is with tears in my eyes that I write this because we have come to the end. I know you may be jumping for JOY, and I get that, but I never imagined this type of teaching. Virtually... So, for our final assignment, I want you to reflect on lessons learned throughout this experience. Please see the attachment for directions and ideas on what to write or video. Please let me know if you have questions. I will write more in a few days. :( I miss you all terribly... Mrs. A

Good Morning Everyone! Or evening depending on what time of day you are reading this.
Attached is the NEW Board along with two NEW activities. I must say I am giving a lot of "I" (incomplete work) this week. Many of you have faded away and I get it, you are ready to close this chapter. Buuuuuuuuuut... we are not finished and again, we still have to show up. Some of you have e-mailed and explained why you might be a day late in turning in work. Totally acceptable. Some not a word. You must take the time to communicate, you guys are old enough. On another note, are you starting to get out of the house or still playing it super safe? I still feel a bit worried and as much as I love Marshall's, I don't think I would feel right browsing the candle section right now... feels wrong...too soon... Anywho, please CONTACT me, let me know what is going on with you. I try to respond as quickly as I can. Still missing your faces! -Mrs. A

Hello Everyone! Wow, what a storm last night! Hope you guys are doing well. Attached is the updated Business Choice Board for this week. Please remember you are earning 100 points for our work week. As always you can turn in your work ANY way you can. E-mail me with any questions or concerns. Everything is also on my website under my REMOTE LEARNING TAB. Thank you for the Ted Talk suggestions. I have so much to listen to on my daily walks now. Keep the communication train going. Miss you All!

4-22-2020
Hi Everyone! Here is the NEW Business Choice Board to choose activities from. Remember, you are earning 100 points for our work week. You can turn in your work any way you can. The new activities for this week are highlighted in Pink. You are doing great and I thank you for your effort. Life right now is all about effort... Do I shower today? Do I put on real clothes?  BIG decisions being made daily. I am about to preach so grab some coffee...

However, please remember it is YOUR responsibility to make contact with me and ALL of your teachers. If you have not heard from a teacher, YOU make contact. It is YOUR responsibility. In college, professors are not waiting around for you to contact them and hoping you are doing the work. They don't care. Your effort during these times are building your character for the next chapter of life. What we do when no one is watching over our shoulder... So far, you guys are exceeding my expectations. Success is built on communication. Don't sit back and wait for an invitation. There is no excuse.                                         Still missing your faces... -Mrs. A

4-14-20
Happy Taco Tuesday Everyone! This updated Business Choice Board has 2 new assignments highlighted in blue (Taco Bell & Food Supply Chain Articles). Both activities I highly recommend. Remember, our work week is from Wednesday to Tuesday. You are to be earning 100 points through assignments you choose from the Business Choice Board. TODAY, I have to send my reports in to our Admins letting them know who has participated and who has not. Please do not be in the "has not category! " You can turn in any work through Google Classroom, Office 365, send me an e-mail,... you choose. If you have a problem getting access to a document, just e-mail me and I will fix it, hopefully! Still missing you all and hoping you guys are safe and healthy. It's another beautiful day so take your work and lunch outside! - Mrs. A

4-9-2020

Hello Students!

The internet is fixed and we are back in business! An updated Business Choice Board has been loaded in Google Classroom and under my Remote Learning tab that is located here on my Website. The new documents that go along with the new activities are there as well. Please remember, you can send me your work/responses any way that is easy for you. If you have any questions, please e-mail me and I will respond as fast as I can. The goal is to earn 100 points per work week. Our work week is from Wednesday -Tuesday. Happy Thursday!

Monday- April 6th, 2020
Hi Everyone! Hope you are doing well! ?? We have been told from Administration that they want our instructional weeks to be from Wednesday to Tuesday. So if you have already completed your tasks that total 100 points from last week, you are good! We are going to do another round of the Business Choice Board and I would like you to pick different activities if you can. Some may be duplicated, but please try one or two new activities. I will be adding a few “new” activities by Wednesday to the Choice Board. Last, (and I know you guys know this), but I am keeping track of who is turning in work and who is not. I have to turn my reports in weekly. If you are not participating, you may not receive credit, and you don’t want to head down that road. Please feel free to turn in work any way that is best for you. And continue to email me if you have questions. I will do the best I can to fix the problem. Thank you all for working so hard.?? Find positives in everyday and get outside if you can for some fresh air.??Still Miss you... Mrs. A

Hello Parents and Students,

During our Remote Learning, students will decide which activities they would like to complete from my Business Choice Board. At the end of every week, students need to have accumulated a total of 100 points. Students may turn in their work through Google Classroom or by e-mailing me. Which ever is easier for you. I will be keeping track of who has turned in what assignments. As you know, we are not grading work as of now, but this is that effort piece we talk about in class. Your accountability is very important and I need you to participate the best way you can.

***Also, I will add NEW content to the Choice Board as the weeks progress. ***

Some of the assignments on my Business Choice Board have documents that accompany it. Those documents are attached here and in Google Classroom. If there is an activity that does not have an additional document, you will simply e-mail me or send your response through google classroom. *** REMEMBER, work is due on Fridays, but you can certainly turn it in earlier during the week.

This is a new process for everyone, so please be patient if there are bumps along the way. I look forward to seeing your work and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy.

Miss you guys so much!
