Hi, I'm Monica Lemke, the masked one on the right. I am the school nurse at Lone Star Elementary. I have been the school nurse here since the school opened in  2006. I have been a Registered Nurse for 38 years. I graduated from The University of St. Thomas in 1982 with my Bachelor's in Nursing. I worked for St. Joe's Hospital for about 2 years, then at Shriner's Orthopedic Hospital where I worked for about 8 years. I have also worked as a Hospice nurse and Home Health nurse prior to Lone Star Elementary. I have enjoyed my different experiences as a nurse and I am proud to be here in Montgomery.

I am married to my wonderful husband of 37 years and have five fantastic kids, all of them grown. Our youngest is a senior at TAMU.  We are immensely enjoying our empty nest. We have eight grandbabies, whom are a joy! I am so blessed to have such a great family.

Sherri Johnson, wearing a cloth face covering on the left,  has been the clinic aide since 2015. She has training as an EMT and worked in several healthcare settings before LSE scooped her up. Her attention to detail , practical application of knowledge, hard work, and appreciation of a good Knock Knock joke make her a tremendous asset at Lone Star Elementary School. She has a MISD Jr High and High Schooler at home that keep her busy as well as a terrific husband.
