I am excited to be joining the MES Bearcat team! This will be my 9th year teaching, and it is my sixth year in 5th grade. I am excited to be the ELA/Social Studies teacher.
To tell you a little about myself, I graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe in Elementary Education in 2008, and the following year with my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in reading. I also added ESL (English as Second Language) and Gifted and Talented to my certification. Reading and writing have always been my passion, and I am excited to ignite and continue the same passion in my students as the year goes by.
My husband and I both grew up in north Louisiana, but we moved to the Houston area in 2010. We eventually made our home in Montgomery in 2014. My husband and I are excited to raise our daughters in such an amazing community. We are even more excited that my oldest daughter will be joining me here at MES.
