Our Standard is Excellence
My name is Jenna Sidney and I teach 2nd grade at Keenan Elementary. This is my seventh, FABULOUS year teaching in MISD and I couldn't imagine being anywhere else! Before moving to Montgomery, I taught Pre-K in Frisco, TX. When I got married in October 2012, I moved to Montgomery and started subbing at Lone Star Elementary. At the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year, I became part of the 2nd grade LSE family. I taught at Lone Star for 4 years and it was an amazing journey. This will be my third year teaching at Keenan and I am loving being part of the Keenan family.
My husband and I have a 3 year old boy, Finn, who has brought so much joy to our family.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood-6th from Texas State University. I also have a certification in ESL (English as a second Language). I love to motivate my students to constantly be reading, thinking and becoming lifelong learners. I love to teach with hands-on activities and moving around the room. We will have a spectacular year, learning, dancing and making new friends! I understand that every child is someone's "baby" and I will love all of them just as I love my own. :)
