First Annual Chlli Cook off judges included MISD Police Officers Mitchell and Torres
Mrs. Roach leading the way to judge the First Annual Chlli Cook off between KES and OHJH
KES winners in the First annual Chili Cook-Off between Oak Hills Junior High School and Keenan Elementary School. Keenan had 9 teams and OHJH had 7. The top 3 teams from each campus were then judged. Keenan took 1st and 2nd, while OHJH took 3rd. The Red Hot Chili Preppers (3rd grade team) were the overall winners and Burn Baby Burn (Storer) was the second place winner overall.

Montgomery Pet Partners visited KES to share with students about the care, handling, and welfare of pets.
Montgomery Pet Partners, Inc. (MPP) is a non-profit organization using the human-animal bond to improve the literacy skills of children in schools and libraries, educate students in the care, handling, and welfare of pets, and enhance the quality of life in individuals in hospitals and senior facilities. As a group of volunteers in combination with pets, we use this naturally occurring affection connection between people and pets to fulfill our mission.
