Our Standard is Excellence
Are you freaky fast, super strong, or can you jump out of this world? Do you want to participate in something that is truly rewarding and challenging and become a part of a Lake Creek Team? Then the Lion Track and Field Team wants you, yes you!!! All students, interested in participating in Track and Field should stop by and see Coach Maynard in room 2404 or Coach Carruthers in room 1510. All questions you have can be answered by the coaches. A brief informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 17th right after school in the lecture hall. Track season will begin as soon as we return from Christmas break. Please plan on attending the meeting if you are interested in track. Go Lions!!!
On Friday, December 6th, the swim team took part in the New Caney Invitational. Both the boys and the girls finished 5th out of 12 teams. Placing in the top eight in their respective individual events were:
Bailey Lowe: 3rd in the 200 IM
Hardy Baker: 2nd in the 100 Breast Stroke and 8th in the 50 Freestyle
Sadie Hamblin: 5th in the 100 Freestyle
Rilynn Guynes: 4th in the 500 Freestyle
TJ Kohli: 6th in the 100 Backstroke
Jacob Whitaker: Meet Champion in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke
The next meet is Thursday at the Montgomery Aquatic Center against Montgomery and Klein Cain
Juniors and Seniors,
Powder Puff is coming up! The annual game will be held on Feb. 6th. Permission slips and registration forms can be picked up at your AP's office. You must attend a MANDATORY meeting on Jan. 14 at 2:45 in the lecture hall. Registration forms must be completed by Jan. 10.
Students if you need of a VOE for the DPS office, please go to the LCHS website under the Registrar page and fill out the form for Verification of Enrollment. Once your request has been submitted, there is a 24-hour turnaround. Your VOE can be picked up in the front office.
