Conference - Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 2:00-2:45

I am Melissa Swearingen. I attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Merchandising.  I worked in retail management for 8 1/2 years.

When my children started school at Montgomery Elementary School in 2005, I substituted for 2 years in Montgomery Independent School District.  During the 2nd year, I decided to get my Alternative Certification to teach.  My content areas are Special Education K-12 and Generalist EC-4.

Once I completed the program, I began teaching the Adaptive Behavior Unit (ABU) at MES.  I taught that class for 3 years.  Next, I taught the Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) program for 8 years at MES. Now, I am a Keenan Lion. I am teaching PreK/PPCD.
