MES is piloting several Project Based Learning classrooms. These students learn to solve real-world problems that are directly connected to their grade-level curriculum. PBL is based on student choice and student-led learning experiences that involve higher-level thinking skills, the use of technology, and self and peer assessment! We are excited to pilot this program and look forward to implementing more PBL classrooms in the future! Building 21st century problem-solvers is definitely a priority at MES!
Every Wednesday at MES, students participate in E-tracks where they have self-selected activities based on their individual interests. This enrichment time is designed to build 21st century learning skills of collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creative problem solving.
