The Oak Hills Band program is a performing arts group that prepares young musicians for the MISD High School Band Program. Band students perform in concerts, contests, and school activities like pep rallies and our annual Veteran's Day program.
Oak Hills Lions 2019-2020 Cheerleaders
Oak Hills Cheerleaders provide leadership and school spirit. In addition to promoting spirit at athletic events, cheerleaders plan pep rallies and decorate the school for special occasions.

The Oak Hills Choir Program is open to anyone who wants to learn how to sing! Ms. Wagner and Ms. Norris teach students how to sing, read music, and sight-read. We also work to build character with social activities and team efforts such as competing. Last year we competed at UIL, Renaissance Festival, Schlitterbahn, Solo and Ensemble, Region Choir, and performed in local community concerts. We also have an MISD Jr. High Choir Incredible Pizza Party and a Rainbow Roller Rink Skate Night. Questions? Watch this video for more information.

FCA meetings are every Thursday morning at 7 am in the Lion Weight Room. Everyone is welcome to attend!

FCA is a mixed group of students that comes together on Thursday mornings before school to be challenged with a message. The purpose of FCA is to allow students a chance to understand how to overcome problems, live through circumstances and glorify God through the use of the Bible.

Lions Animal Rescue Society was formed by a group of students at Oak Hills Jr High that are passionate about helping homeless or needy pets in our community.
Last year we made donations of dog houses, food, and supplies to pets in need. We created and sold a pet calendar to raise money. We also held a donation drive to benefit low income pet owners and non-profit rescues that save animals from shelters.

Membership for Oak Hills' chapter of NJHS is based on scholarship, character, leadership, citizenship, and service. Qualified students are selected for NJHS by a majority vote of Faculty Council.
Advanced teams will build a Vex IQ robot to compete in the Vex Next Level Robotics Competition.
Introduction to Robotics members will build a variety of Vex IQ robots and program them.

Student Council is a community service organization designed to promote student participation in all aspects of school, from building spirit to student elections and government.
Tech Club meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 2:45-3:45 pm in Room W219.

Tech Club will meet to discuss the newest technologies available today, as well as test online software and devices. We will be using computers and tablets to code, play games, and test augmented and virtual reality as well. It's a great time to share, have fun, and see what all is out there in the exciting world of technology!

Oak Hills participates in competitive academic events through UIL every year. Students from grades 6 - 8 compete in contests that mirror the school curriculum. Events include: One Act Play, Poetry/Prose, Art Smart, Music Memory, Spelling, Dictionary Skills, Calculator Applications, Chess Puzzles, Impromptu Speaking, Maps/Charts/Graphs, Science, Number Sense, Band, and Choir competitions.
