Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! My name is Phyliss Teasdale, and I will be teaching 6th Grade Pre-AP/Level-World Geography & Cultures. I am looking forward to having a great year filled with learning and fun in World Geography & Cultures! I have been a teacher in Montgomery ISD for the past 26 years. I graduated from West High School in West, Texas (Kolache Capital of Texas!! -near Waco) in 1986. I graduated from McLennan Community College (Go Highlanders!!) in Waco, TX in 1988 and from Sam Houston State University (Go Kats!!) in Huntsville, TX in 1992 with a BS degree in Education. I did my student teaching for Montgomery Independent School District in 1992 and have been here ever since for the last 26 years! I am married to Coach Brad Teasdale, a MJHS math teacher/coach. We have been married for 30 years. We have a daughter, Lauren (29), a 2007 MHS graduate, and a son, Blake (23), a 2014 MHS graduate and a senior business management/marketing student at Sam Houston State University graduating in December 2018.  I Crossfit train at Cap Elite Crossfit in Montgomery and have trained there for the last 10 years. I love fishing, boating, and enjoying the outdoors. I love 80's music too!!!  I have been a Montgomery Bear all of my teaching career and love cheering for all of our teams! My goal for the year is to have each of my students grow and learn mentally, physically, and socially to the best of their ability. Remember: Smile-Attitude is Everything!!
