Welcome to Second Grade!

This is my 9th year teaching and my 3rd year in Montgomery.  I taught Kindergarten and First Grade and now I will be joining the Second Grade Family at MES!  I taught 6 years for Huntsville ISD.  I was born and raised in Dallas where I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas.  I am the youngest of six and am blessed with 4 brothers and a sister.  I also have 5 nieces and 5 nephews.  Family is everything to me!

I am married to my best friend, Jason Yates.  My husband is originally from Huntsville and graduated from Sam Houston.  We have a 3 year old son, River, who is our world.  Every day is a new and exciting adventure for us.  We are blessed that my mother-in-law was able to retire from teaching (she also taught for Huntsville ISD) to watch him during the day.  We also have two pound dogs, Dylan and Townes, who most definitely make our life interesting.
